Je ne veux pas d'un pauvre, ils n'osent regarder en face;

New information in Arabic : the pioneer
of the Kurdish folkloric song
an Armenian called Garabet Khacho [(*1)]
- [(*2)]
- Masood A'kko, a Kurdish writer, says in this article: "If the Armenian
Massacres happened due to Kurds, I, in the name of all Kurds who devote
love and fidelity to you (Garabet Khacho), apologize in advance for
all the crimes that claimed the lives of your people's children, women
and men ..."
The writer continues: "An artist, like Garabet Khacho, who was ethnic
Armenian, Christian in religion, Kurdish in tongue, tried through this
trinity to be the example of a person who can overcome the boundaries
between nations serving the Kurdish song for almost a century".
A'kko notes: "Words are unable to elegize the great deceased, who departed
from us carrying with him all the pains and the grieves that accompanied
him during a century; the pains that became a part of the historyof
massacres committed against the Armenians, and Garabet was one of those
who witnessed these massacres. His family was one of any number of families
that were the victims of the backward mentality which grabbed the souls
of many Armenians".
